Indeed, all who delight in pursuing a good righteousness life for themselves and their children, and are determined to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will eventually be hunted down and persecuted, only because of their faith in God. This while evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving their followers and being deceived themselves by Satan.
But as for you true believers you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You know they are true, because you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:12-15
