We mustn't deceive ourselves into thinking what God allowed to happen in Ukraine can't happen to our nation. Our nation has been in rebellion against Jesus Christ and his teachings for a long time. There is only one true way of escape from judgment, and that way is through Jesus Christ and rebirth by the Holy Spirit.
WHO IS MYSTERY BABYLON IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION!
“Mystery Babylon is fallen—that Great International City is fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a hideout for every foul spirit, a hideout for every foul vulture, and every foul and dreadful animal (criminals). For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality; and the leaders of the earth have committed sexual immorality with her; and the merchants of the earth have been enriched through the power of her luxurious imports." Then I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out, my people (born-again believers)! Come out from her! You must not take part in her sins; you must not share in her punishment, sufferings, and plagues! Because her sins have piled up all the way to heaven, God has decided to remember her wickedness. Pay her back as she herself has paid back others, repay her double for her deeds; mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed. As she glorified herself and lived in luxury, so give her a like measure of torment and mourning, since in her heart she says, ‘I sit as a queen, I am no widow, and I shall never mourn.’ For this reason in a single day her plagues, afflictions, and calamities will come, along with pestilence, mourning and famine, and she will also be burned up with fire and completely consumed; for strong and powerful is the Lord God who judges her.
“And then the kings and political leaders of the earth, who committed immorality and lived luxuriously off of her, will weep and beat their chests in mourning over her when they see the smoke of her burning. They will watch everything at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out, “How terrible, how terrible for you, O Babylon, you great city! In a single moment God’s judgment came on you.” And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her, off shore since no one buys their cargos anymore, because she bought great quantities of gold, silver, jewels, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet cloth; things made of fragrant thyine wood, ivory goods, and objects made of expensive wood; and bronze, iron, and marble. Including cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and even human beings trafficked as sex slaves. Oh, Babylon, the things your heart desired have all escaped from you. Every luxury and all your glory will be lost forever. You will never get them back. The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry out, "How terrible! How awful for the great city! She used to dress herself in linen, purple, and scarlet, and cover herself with ornaments! Yes, in a single moment, all the wealth of the city is gone!” And all the captains of the merchant ships with their cargos, passengers, sailors, and crews will stand at a distance off shore and cry out at the sight of the smoke rising from the fire that consumes her in one moment. “What city was ever like this great city?” they will exclaim. They will weep and show their grief. And they will cry out, “How terrible, how terrible for that great city! The shipowners became wealthy by importing her great wealth on the seas. In a single moment, it's is all gone.” Revelation 18:1-19
