"Understand this, that in the last days dangerous times of great stress and trouble will come upon the whole world, difficult days that will be hard to bear. People will become lovers of self, narcissistic, and self-focused. They will become lovers of money impelled by greed, boastful, arrogant, revilers of God. To parents they will become ungrateful, profane, disrespectful, and disregarding.  They will be devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane, irreconcilable to the truth and malicious gossipers of lies. They will be devoid of self-control, intemperate, immoral, and haters of what's good and decent. They will turn in and betray their friends and relatives, bloated with conceit, worshiping pleasure rather than worshiping the only true living and wise God. They will however hold to a form of outward goodness and even a false religion, but they will deny the power of God by their conduct which nullifies their false claim of faith. Avoid such people and stay far away from them." 2 Timothy 3:1-5
