"The time will come when people will not tolerate sound speech and accurate information that challenges them with the truth; but wanting to have their ears tickled with something that pleases them they will accumulate for themselves teachers and leaders one after another, chosen specifically to satisfy their own desires and to support the lifestyle they hold dear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and wisdom, and will wander off choosing to believe lies and man-made fictions, accepting the unacceptable... But as for you true followers of Christ Jesus, be clear-headed in every situation staying calm and cool and steady, endure every hardship of rejection and persecution without flinching, always doing the work of an evangelist, fulfilling the duties of God's word. 2 Timothy 4:3-5
