"Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we don’t really need to tell you. Because you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When the rest of an unbelieving world is saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on unbelievers suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains fall on her. And there will be no escape for them. But we believers, that is all you who believe in Christ as Savior and acknowledge Him as God’s Son, are not in spiritual darkness, nor held by its power. So that the day of God's judgment will not overtake you by surprise like a thief; For we are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness. So then let us not sleepwalk in spiritual indifference as the rest of the unbelieving world, but let us remain Spiritually wide awake, alert and cautious. Let us be sober, self-controlled, calm, and wise according to the Word of God. Because those who choose to sleep spiritually, sleep at darkness, and those who get drunk on this world, get drunk in darkness. But since we believers belong to the light of Christ, let us be sober minded. Putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of confident assurance of our salvation through Jesus Christ. Because God has not appoint us to suffer the wrath and destruction coming on the whole earth, but to be rescued and receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ died for believers so that whether we are dead or alive physically when He returns, we can live with Christ forever. So encourage each other and build each other up in Christ Jesus, just as you are already doing every day." 1Thessalonians 5:1-11
