With regard to people claiming they have "no rest in their life direction, nothing feeling right, prayers not being answered, hoping that life's answers just magically present themselves from God". This I can tell you from personal experience, is a common struggle and known even among devoted followers of Christ. But the effective remedy is given throughout the Word of God (Bible), but only if we chose to listen and act by faith accordingly. Until this spiritual battle is addressed you'll be caught in an endless cycle of not knowing, blinded by the the god of this world system (satan)...
Isaiah 59: 1/2 "Listen! The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It is because of your sinful lifestyle that he doesn't hear you. It is your routine sins that separate you from God when you try to worship him... Don't allow foul profane, worthless, and vulgar words come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good at edifying the gospel, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear you speak. Ephesians 4:29
Ephesians 5:3 "Sexual immorality and all indecent and offensive behavior or greed toward God's work, must not even be hinted among you, as is proper among Christ's followers. For as believers this is our way of life, whether in public or in private, it reflects the validity of our faith... Flee from sexual immorality and fornication. All other sins a person commits are outside their body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body which is the temple of God. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, because God bought you with a high price at the crucifixion. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
