This is what the Lord God says: "They built places to destroy their sons and their daughters in order to worship and honor the false god of prosperity — something I never commanded nor had it entered My mind that they should do this horrible thing, causing my people to sin. (Jeremiah the prophet 32:35)

Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then Jeus turning to the child said, “I tell you all the truth, unless you turn from your life of sin and become like little innocent children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. Anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me also. But whoever causes the downfall of even one of these innocent little ones,  they would be better off thrown into the deepest part of the ocean with a heavy bolder tied around their necks! (Matthew 18:2-6)

However if we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins in Jesus Christ name, God is faithful, just and true to His own promise, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, wrongdoing, and sin.
