I don't usually post personal asides but I was doing a bit nostalgic research on my 14 year retired career as a Naval Weapons Engineer. Normally light weapon systems take decades to change, so I was somewhat shocked to discover that the 25MM Chain Gun has evolved into a sophisticated all weather automatic remote controlled gun system known as the Mark 38 Mod 3 Auto Gun. Apparently the oldest career specialty in the Navy/Coast Guard is still the best.
