As a believer in Jesus Christ I have too often found myself praying more over the shortcomings in my life be it past or present, and then not letting it go as if the forgiveness and grace of Jesus Christ's payment on the cross was not enough payment. Rather than allowing my heart & soul to magnify God for his grace and forgiveness and in turn be filled by Holy Spirit's comfort and joy, I end up for-fitting my full blessing by trying to carry a portion the burden as payment for my own sin. Somthing that only God in Jesus Christ is capable of doing not me... 

Listening Christian artist Darren Mulligan's song Magnify, hit home for me what I already know but too often fail to put in practice, focusing on my shortcomings in self pity rather than Magnifying God.
