Today we talk about love and express love as if it is something directly derived from pleasure whether its to please ourselves, others, or our children, we are more then willing to sacrifice almost anything of real value to give and derive pleasure as a counterfeit “fast food” expressions of love. This is why our society is so messed up with broken families and marriages because once gratification and pleasure is spent up, we are unwilling to do the hard work of building an actual relationship, marriage and tough-love raising our children by moral example and Godly precepts which gives true lasting and growing satisfaction which is true love. It is only in building a Godly life and reaching its loving conclusion do we grow ourselves and get lasting satisfaction which builds character in our house. So what is true love....(1 Corinthians 13) Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand to have its own way. It is not irritable or cold, and it keeps no record of being wronged for retaliation. It does not rejoice about sin but always seeks what is right and true, and rejoices whenever the truth wins out. True Love never gives up, never loses faith in God, is always hopeful and endures, finding a way through every difficult circumstance... So you see true love is not about being childish, taking the wide, easy and fast road toward perpetual self gratification, but rather turning around with Jesus help and taking the narrow, long and difficult road toward growth and building a life worth living for one's own family, children and household. Which is also God's way that leads to eternal life...
