Worldly business is a snare to us, when it hinders us from serving God, and getting good to our souls.

So many of us spend our lives with evermore and new activities thinking that we can find fulfillment or at least distract and somehow offset the weight of stored up sin on our souls and conscious that is at the heart of our fallen problem. A problem that just keeps building with every bit of increasing denial against God's written word while embracing what the world has to offer without God.
Brother Francis Chan in his video below helps us hit the nail on the head, that our time here on earth is meant for one thing and one thing only. COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS: As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?" Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. I will gather the people of Israel from among the nations. I will bring them home to their own land from the places where they have been scattered. I will unify them into one nation (*1948) on the mountains of Israel. I will make Israel like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of multiplied lawlessness, the increase of wickedness and iniquity on the earth, the love of most will grow cold, but those who stand firm to the end will be saved. “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the saved those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even those who are saved. See, I have told you ahead of time. When the Son of God returns, it will be like it was in the day's of Noah and the Ark. In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and then the flood came and destroyed them all. “And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot who lived in Sodom. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building— until the morning Lot was rescued out of Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that the end is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, the generation that sees these things will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words (Bible*) will never pass away.
