Thanksgiving backyard sunset

In the beginning was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
(John 1:1-2)

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. (John 1:2-4)

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
(John 1:10-11)

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority power, privilege, and right to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in, adhere to, trust in, and rely on His name

(John 1:12-13)

There is a great correlation between the way our Heavenly Father intended a relationship between an earthly father and his children, and God's relationship with us. This song below by Brian Littrell makes this very point and reminds me of my long relationship with "The Father" and my children.
